Jim's 61 MGA Frame Off Restoration

Having retired in April 2009, I restored a '74 Harley Sporster and a smaller Suzuki sports bike, I was looking for a rstoration project that would challenge all of my skills.  I stumbled upon an add for a 61 MGA that needed a complete restoration.

I spent a couple of months reading up on these cool little cars & getting a feel for them. There was no question, I had to have one. The car is a 1961 MGA1600, designed and built by British Motor Corporation B.M.C., more famous for there very successful MGB.
